Additional funding available for Social Care Qualifications in Northern Ireland  - Level 2 Certificate in Safe and Effective Practice

We are pleased to announce a second round of funding for the Level 2 Certificate in Safe and Effective Practice, the entrance level qualification now available for social care staff. This funding from the Department of Health is intended to support training and development of registered social care workers employed in the Community, Voluntary and Independent sectors in Northern Ireland. 

Please note:

• For those employers that submitted for the first round of funding, applications can now be made for additional staff.For this round of funding there is no cap on the number of applicants per organisation.
• This funding is available to those workers with at least one month of continuous experience in a social care role.
• There will be no age restriction on applications. 
• Each social care organisation must source qualification provision from appropriate providers

The deadline for applications for funding is 5pm on Friday 24 February 2025.
