Closes 9 Nov 2026

Introduction

This consultation seeks your views on proposals to increase registration fees, to ensure the Council can maintain delivery of its statutory duties and further develop the services it provides to registrants and employers; balanced with considerations about how to do this in a way that is fair, equitable, and proportionate. If you have not already read the full consultation document and supporting guides, they can be downloaded from the links below. This information is also available from the Consultations page of our website.

  • In year two, introducing a different fee for social work practitioners and senior leader-social workers;
  • Linking the fee level to inflation so the fee automatically increases in line with inflation;
  • No increase in fees for students studying for the Degree in Social Work in years one or two.
