Warrenpoint Active Travel Scheme - Preliminary Engagement

Overview

The Department for Infrastructure is proposing a new active travel scheme
along the A2 Newry Road, comprising a segregated 3.0m wide cycle track
and a 2.0m wide footway. The facility will be separated from vehicular traffic
by a kerbed buffer strip, enhancing safety and comfort for both cyclists
and pedestrians. This new facility will create a continuous active travel link
between the proposed Narrow Water Bridge and Warrenpoint town centre,
supporting improved connectivity and encouraging sustainable travel.
