Bellarena - Bishop's Gate Greenway - Public Engagement

Overview

Tetra Tech on behalf of the Department for Infrastructure (DFI) are seeking your views on the proposed Bellarena - Bishop’s Gate Greenway Project.

The proposed Greenway aims to facilitate walking, wheeling, and cycling opportunities for a range of purposes such as recreation and leisure in this stunning landscape setting, whilst enhancing the tourism offering of the area
by connecting to existing attractions, local amenities and supporting local
businesses.

Project Objectives:

  • Link people to Bellarena train station, local bus stops, Magilligan, Downhill and nearby walking/cycling route.
  • Offer a greener, low-carbon travel option for work and leisure.
  • Create a safe, attractive route for walking, wheeling and cycling.
  • Promote local economic growth and tourism in Magilligan area.
  • Help improve health and wellbeing by providing better infrastructure and travel choices.

Why your views matter

The purpose of this engagement is to gather information from local communities and businesses to help inform the design for Bellarena - Bishop’s Gate Greenway. 

The associated in-person engagement event offers an opportunity to engage directly with representatives of the project team.

Tetra Tech, on behalf of the Department for Infrastructure, will consider all comments received. Submission of your personal data assumes that Tetra Tech are granted permission to process personal data, if relevant to your submission, for the purposes of progressing the Bellarena-Bishop's Gate Greenway. No personal data will be disclosed publicly.
