Half‑Fare SmartPass Survey
Overview
The Department for Infrastructure is asking people in Northern Ireland who are eligible for a Half‑Fare SmartPass to take part in a short survey about how they travel.
To take part in this survey, you must:
- Live in Northern Ireland
- Be under 60 years old
- Be eligible for a Half-Fare SmartPass
Who can get a Half-Fare SmartPass?
You can get a Half-Fare SmartPass if one of the following applies to you:
- You receive the mobility part of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or Disability Living Allowance (DLA).
- You are registered as partially sighted with a Health and Social Care Trust.
- You are registered as having a learning disability with a Health and Social Care Trust.
- You have been refused a driving licence because of a medical condition.
What does a Half-Fare SmartPass do?
A Half-Fare SmartPass gives you 50% off the price of an adult single ticket on public transport.
Why your views matter
Your answers in this survey will help the Department for Infrastructure understand how people travel on public transport now, and how travel might change if the Half-Fare SmartPass offered free travel instead of half-price travel in the future. Even if you are eligible for the Half-Fare SmartPass but don’t have one, or you don’t use public transport, your views are still very important to us.
Thank you for taking part. Your help is important and will support improvements to public transport in Northern Ireland.
Please note that due to the format of the survey, the question numbers are not in order.
