Overview

Social Care Fair Work Forum - Improving pay, terms and conditions for social care workers – Your views are needed!

The Social Care Fair Work Forum is seeking views from registered social care workers to help embed Fair Work initiatives and improve pay, terms and conditions for people employed across all parts of the social care sector in Northern Ireland. This survey is focused on pay, terms and conditions for those registered social care workers who are employed within the Private, Independent or Community and Voluntary social care sectors

Social care workers employed within Health and Social Care Trusts are employed under terms and conditions which are set by the Agenda for Change national agreements.  Although responses from all registered social care workers are welcome, this survey is focused on those registered social care workers who are employed within the Private, Independent or Community and Voluntary social care sectors.  Participation in this survey is voluntary and all responses received will be reflected in the analysis.

As a registered social care worker in Northern Ireland we need your help in making the case for change. We want to hear about your experiences of pay, terms and conditions within your role and how the rising costs of living have impacted on you and your family. We also want to hear about the supports available to help you in your social care role. Experiences like yours will be vital in making the case to decision-makers that increased funding for social care workers pay and terms and conditions and improvements to career pathways need to be prioritised.

This survey will take around 15 minutes to complete. All responses will be anonymised and used only to support this Forum initiative. Any information provided will be held securely by the Social Care Council for a maximum of three years and then disposed of in line with GDPR requirements. If you have any queries about the management of this survey, please contact the Social Care Council Evaluation Manager andre.mckeown@niscc.hscni.net

This survey will close at midnight on Sunday 6th October 2024.
