Social Care Council - Review of Degree - Social Work Student Survey (2023-24)

Closed 15 Mar 2024

Opened 18 Dec 2023

Overview

The Northern Ireland Social Care Council is currently undertaking the fourth periodic review of the Degree in Social Work.  This survey is for Degree in Social Work students to share their experience of teaching and practice learning they have experienced.

The survey invite was sent out to students in early January and we would like to thank those who have already contributed.  Due to the timing of the survey invite, not all students may have been aware this was happening”. Therefore, we are extending the survey until 15th March 2024 to allow time for others to give feedback too.  We are really keen to hear the student voice!

The Degree in Social Work was introduced in 2004. It is a generic degree that should provide a strong foundation for a social work career in a range of sectors in NI including the Health and Social Care Trusts, Education Authority, Community and Voluntary sector and Criminal Justice.

Responses from students will help to support the ongoing review and improvement of Degree in Social Work training in Northern Ireland. They will also provide insight into how regulation and professional standards are improving skills and practice in social work.
