Overview

Land & Property Services (LPS) are responsible for the collection of rates in Northern Ireland

The 2020-21 rate bills for householders were issued recently. While the bill is still fresh in your mind we'd like get a better understanding of how you experienced receiving, understanding and paying your rate bill.

Domestic rates are a form of property tax based on the valuation of your home. The revenue generated from rates helps fund vital public services including health, education, economic development, water, main roads and council services, such as waste management.

Why your views matter

The responses you provide will be used for the purpose of user research which will help us to to improve our services.

The survey is open from 27th July 2020 to 24th August 2020 (11.59pm) and should take around 5 minutes to complete.

Responses to this consultation will be processed in accordance with the Land & Property Services (LPS) Privacy notice which can be accessed at https://www.finance-ni.gov.uk/publications/lps-privacy-notice. Your responses will be kept secure, treated confidentially and will not be passed to others without your prior agreement.

What happens next

The survey has now closed.  Thank you for taking part.  We will be assessing the feedback provided from all respondents and this will help to inform future strategy for collecting rates.
