DAERA’s Sustainable Agriculture Programme (SAP) is providing over £330 million in support each year to support farm businesses and land managers to adopt environmentally sustainable practices while enhancing productivity and building stronger resilience.

The SAP Newsletter forms part of a coordinated, multi-channel communications approach that is in place to support awareness, understanding, and engagement across the programme.

The first edition of this Newsletter issued by hardcopy to farm businesses in Northern Ireland on 7 May 2026 and outlined new and emerging farm support schemes, including the new Farm Sustainability Payment Scheme.

DAERA is seeking feedback from farmers and land managers, and other related parties on this first edition of the SAP Newsletter.
