Overview

EQUALITY MONITORING SURVEY

Will the information I give be treated as confidential?

This information will be securely stored and treated as confidential. The information collected will only be used for equality monitoring and other purposes (as set out in the DAERA Privacy Notice) in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation. The resulting dataset will be made anonymous before any monitoring analysis is published.

What is this information used for?

The information will help us to understand if the Rural Micro Capital Grant Scheme 2022 is providing equality of opportunity and good relations to all our customers. Completion of the survey will help the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) to comply with Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act (1998).

Is it compulsory?

Although completion of this survey is voluntary you are strongly encouraged to complete it as it is important that we are able to monitor the Rural Micro Capital Grant Scheme to make sure there is equality of opportunity for all applicants and beneficiaries.

Who should complete this survey?

The survey should be completed by the applicant providing their own details under Section A of the survey. Where there is more than one applicant, the details provided in response to this survey should be that of the lead applicant. The applicant should also complete Section B of the survey providing the best estimate for each Section 75 category that the majority of your project's beneficiaries are likely to belong to.

What happens next

Information collated from this monitoring exercise provides useful information in terms of the distribution of projects and RMCGS 2022 funding to the various Section 75 groups and helps the Department to identify any areas where additional emphasis should be placed to ensure all Section 75 groups are included.
