Development of fisheries management measures for offshore Marine Protected Areas

Thank you for taking the time to consider this consultation paper. The Department welcomes your views on the development of fisheries management measures for offshore Marine Protected Areas (MPAs). 

DAERA Marine and Fisheries Division is the statutory body responsible for protecting the marine environment and its associated species and habitats. This consultation has been developed to seek views from stakeholders on fisheries management options for the three MPAs in the Northern Ireland offshore region.

The consultation will last for 12 weeks, commencing on 1st June 2026.
