Impacts on the Water Environment- A call for evidence
Overview
Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) welcomes your views on the impacts on the water environment in Northern Ireland. This call for evidence will form part of the ongoing preparation for the Significant Water Management Issues Report to be issued later in 2025/2026. This call for evidence aims to gather all available information and evidence on impacts on the water environment in Northern Ireland by reaching out to the public and stakeholders.
Before you answer our survey, we advise that you watch our video on how to use the NIEA Catchment Data map viewer. It is recommended that you identify the name and water body code for the relevant water bodies you wish to submit evidence for.
The information you provide in completing this consultation will be controlled and processed by DAERA in line with Data Protection Legislation. To find out more about how we handle your personal information, DAERA’s Privacy Notice can be viewed online at http://www.daera-ni.gov.uk/daera-privacy-statement
Why your views matter
This will improve the evidence base for NIEA enabling a more accurate assessment of the potential pressures and impacts on water quality.
A summary of the responses received will be published after the call for evidence has closed. We will not respond individually to the points you raise, nor will we acknowledge receipt of individual responses unless requested.
