Overview

The Regional Clozapine Care Pathway was developed to

• Better support clinicians and staff to initiate and use clozapine safely and effectively
• To ensure adequate physical health checks
• To improve documentation during initiation
• To improve communication between teams and service user
• To ensure equitable care for all patients prescribed clozapine across N.Ireland

The Regional Mental Health Pharmacy group would be interested to hear your views on using this pathway to manage initation of new patients onto clozapine. 

What happens next

The results of this feedback will be used to inform the pathway development group and will provide important feedback so that further improvements can be made if required to the pathway prior to moving to ENCOMPASS.
