Survey of Clinical Psychology Posts in Physical Health 2022

Overview

Dear Colleague,

Thank you for your interest in this important survey being undertaken by the British Psychological Society, Division of Clinical Health Psychology workforce and training committee. We are looking to update the survey of Clinical Health Psychology posts in the U.K. which was completed in 2015 and hoping to achieve, with your help, the excellent response we had then. The results will help us in the strategic development of services and in workforce training and planning at a time of increased demand and a positive further expansion of psychology posts in physical health. 

If you would like a copy of the results we will be glad to share these with you if you leave an email contact at the end of the survey. This is not mandatory.

We would be grateful if the survey could be completed by one person from each service to avoid duplication, ideally the service lead. Before starting the survey it may save you time if you have to hand information about the posts in your service. This may include:

• banding
• wte
• health specialties covered
• commissioning  arrangements
• demographic figures about the populations you serve

We estimate completing the survey will take about 45 minutes. 

Even if you are unable to respond to some of the questions, we would be extremely grateful if you could complete the survey as fully as you can.
