DESCRIPTION:In 2018\, the first Northern Ireland Pharmacy Workforce Re
 view was commissioned to gain a better understanding of the numbers an
 d skills mix in the pharmacy workforce and to inform planning and futu
 re investment in services and education. The Pharmacy Technicians Repo
 rt was then published in 2020\, and will be used to support the implem
 entation of the 2020 Pharmacy Workforce Review’s actions for in Nort
 hern Ireland. These actions include a commitment to take forward the r
 egulation of the pharmacy technician profession\, in-line with the res
 t of the United Kingdom. Also to work with education providers to ensu
 re sufficient training places to meet the needs of the health and soci
 al care service\, to develop the technician workforce in general pract
 ice\, hospital and community pharmacy sectors and promote career progr
