Overview

This application is for financial assistance towards a 3 year postgraduate research study leading to a PhD qualification, commencing in the academic year 2020/21. To be eligible for consideration for a DAERA Studentship, a candidate must satisfy ALL the eligibility criteria based on nationality, residency, citizenship, academic qualifications and alignment to one of our Research Needs for 2020.  It is essential to refer to the DAERA Postgraduate Studentships Terms and Conditions 2020/21 before completing this form. These also contain the eligibility, shortlisting and interview criteria.

What happens next

Interview

Criteria based interviews will be held on 6, 7 &8 April 2020 in Dundonald House, Upper Newtownards Road, Ballymiscaw, Belfast BT4 3SB.

Candidates invited to interview will be informed of the date and time of interview in writing by email. The dates will only change in the event of illness or an emergency. No expenses will be payable in connection with attendance at interviews.

Offer of Studentship

The Department will send offers of Studentships to successful candidates and notify unsuccessful candidates.

Acceptance of Studentship

Candidates who are offered Studentships must either decline or accept the offer within 10 working days of the letter of offer. Failure to do so may result in the Studentship being offered to another candidate.
